Naked Run Wines

A boutique label named after a historic local creek crossing, making age-worthy single-vineyard Riesling and Shiraz.

Naked Run takes its quirky name from a creek crossing on the old road north, where bullock teams once forded the water. The label is a small partnership of grape-growers turned winemakers, sourcing from low-yielding sites across Clare and the Adelaide Plains.

The wines punch well above their price. The flagship 'The First' Riesling is taut and built to age, while the Shiraz shows the dark, spicy character that Clare does so well. Production is tiny and distribution limited, so the cellar door is often the best place to find them.

A good choice for travellers who like to dig past the famous names and discover the next generation of Clare Valley makers.
