Terroir brought serious destination dining to the southern end of the valley. Set in a handsome heritage stone building in the village of Auburn, it serves a refined, French-leaning menu built around regional produce and a thoughtfully curated wine list heavy with local Riesling and Shiraz.
The room is intimate and the cooking confident - think slow-braised meats, house-made charcuterie and seasonal vegetables, all plated with care. Booking ahead is strongly advised, particularly on weekends.
